Back in Theatre Land……
We had the pleasure of replacing an obsolete wireless fire alarm system in the Apollo Theatre in the heart of the West End of London.
This Grade II listed building, opened in 1901 as the 4th theatre to open on Shaftesbury Avenue.
Another hybrid system, we wired where we could, and used wireless devices where the aesthetics of the theatre needed to be maintained.
As with all theatres, this building brought us a few challenges finding cable routes, but our experienced install team found their way with the help of the excellent theatre LX team.
By introducing wired devices as approximately 75% of the installation we have significantly reduced the ongoing maintenance costs.
